Whew... playing catch up.

I have a feeling that the term "playing catch up" is going to be my motto. Two weeks ago I was called as Young Women's President, and we live in a very transient ward. I realized that finding names for counselors was going to be very difficult considering the fact that school got out a week before and had just started, so new names wouldn't be on the ward list. Plus everyone who is on the list was either pregnant or just had a baby. Finally after tons of prayer, temple attendance, and a blessing I had two names...to my dismay I found out I also need a secretary. So back to the prayer rock aka grind stone. Okay so just when I think things may settle down...think again. Craziness on Sunday at church, Sunday night I passed the torch and a whole lotta info to the new cub den leader cuz our Webelo leader went on vacation and never came back so I was Wolf Bear and Webelo for the past month. Tuesday we met with the old presidency and then had young women's, Wednesday the new den leader needed help so she could have two deep leadership till a new Webelo leader is called so I attended cubs and tonight we are getting "trained" have no clue what will happen, and I found out we have no camp director...so I guess I'm "IT". I better get things under control quick cuz we are headed to Orlando for a week on the 17th. Whew...so here's a page from when dad was in Arizona with us. Better late than never right?

yikes! im exhausted just reading that. If anybody can pull all that off, you can. I am sure once things settle down you will love your new calling. I think you will be really great working with the young women.

Wow, Young Women's Pres! Good luck. I'm sure you can do it! How big is your YW? I am the secretary in our ward; there's maybe 15 girls but we only get maybe half of that to class or activities each week due to family situations (divorced kids are switching off weekends with parents, or the family's semi-active) or other activities. It's challenging, also, because we are spread far apart.

I always love taking a peek at your layouts. Your style is terrific, with lots of big pictures -- perfect, I think! And your two kiddos are so adorable (of course!!).

Good Luck with YW. I'm second counselor in our ward and it can take over your life if you let it, so don't! We are in full camp mode as it's only 6 weeks away.
