Laney's First Adventure...

Today the kids and I went to an Easter Egg hunt at the church down the street. When we got back, I routinely got out of the door on my side and closed it. Before I could get around to the other side Baylee and Asher had already hopped out of the car and closed the door. Lately when we pull into the garage the kids ask if they can ride bikes before going inside and like most times I said yes and began helping get bikes untangled from each other. After helping get bikes out I pulled the handle on the car door to get Laney out and realized that it was locked! What??!!! Se was asleep but I was sure that wasn't going to last very long so I had better figure things out before she started screaming! I ran inside and called my mom to get the number for AAA... my card with the telephone # on it was locked in the car as well. From the time I called my mom til a sweet old man from a AAA locksmith place unlocked my door was t minus 15 minutes! I was amazed and so grateful that I had AAA. Could you imagine how long she would have been locked in there if I had resulted to knocking doors or called around to find someone who actually knows how to "break into cars"?

I was so thankful they handled that so fast as I was almost as panicked as you were.. Amazing what can be done nowadays! They even reassured me that they would get ahold of you right away!! Anyway, you are still an amazing mommy! Miss you all. Love, mom

The whole time I was reading I was sure your were going to say that you forgot you had a 3rd child and left her in the car! So glad you remembered:) I still count my kids just to make sure.

When I was in the hospital with Ethan's birth- Jason locked Kylie in the car:) Opps.

Thank goodness for AAA! They've helped me TWICE in the last few months when I've locked my keys in my car. (Now I have 3 spares!) I'm glad that you were able to get in so quickly.
