Vacation Bloopers! And it's only DAY 1...

Well, our flight left without us on Saturday because we were late, so we ended up staying in a hotel room in Salt Lake which totally sported a beautifully relaxing looking pool, that doesn't open for another week, the lady at the Southwest counter suggested we try to fly stand by on the 6:30 am flight, so we were up and 4 and determined not to miss this flight, we get to the gate to find that the flight was not full and we had an amazing chance of getting on, BUT the connecting flight was full and we'd get stuck in Denver for another night. NO THANKS... So we were booked for the 10:30 flight. After saying bon voyage to the 6:30 passengers we headed back to the hotel to beg the desk clerk for our keys back. So then at 9:30 we headed back to our beloved SLC Airport and boarded the flight bound for Albequerque then on to Orlando. The night before we had to reschedule our Orlando rental car, and decided to splurge and upgrade for $10 to a midsize or larger...its called "Wild Car" and what they do is give you whatever car type is left midsize and up, for the one low price. We get to the car rental to find the "Wild car of the day" is a minivan? What the? We laugh thinking he's kidding. Nope not kidding, So for $50 more we went ahead and I gave in for Adam's anniversary present and let him drive me around in a Chrysler 300 for a week.

Then we saw a sign for 6 Disney World tickets for $200. For those of you who do not know, that is a $200+ savings. However we had to sit thru a timeshare...I have always vowed NEVER to go to timeshares. So I asked that it could be as early as possible so it wouldn't put a damper on our trip. We arrived at 8 am, and by 12 we were free and clear with 6 Disney Tickets. So when did we officially start living it up in Orlando you ask? No later than 1pm when we arrived at Universal Orlando, and by 1:15 right after riding the Hulk my poor Adam was ready to go...he gets motion sickness, but he stuck it out for me and we rode every ride, including Dr Doom as it poured rain and Adam kept mentioning to his wife who suffers from a severe fear of heights that it's probably not a great idea to ride this one in the rain, its the ride that shoots you straight up and lets you free fall. We did anyway, and it turned out to be my favorite. So relax and know that we are finally having a great vacation. Love me

Tom and I went to a timeshare advertising meeting so we could get free airplane tickets to Anaheim and two days at Disneyland. Like you said, after many hours we finally got them and there were so many blackout days to fly and go that we were never able to use them. I'm glad you guys are able to use yours right away!! That's great! Have a great trip!

wow. i wonder if you are having as much fun as I am!!! I dare say riding thrilling rides in the rain and driving around in a mob car is as exciting as changing diapers, bathing kids 3 times a day, finding something they will eat, doing laundry, dishes and picking up everything in their wake. i am experiencing the screaming and a few fights tho... That's fun!! Love you, have a blast!! I am!!! MeeMa
